Jeffrey Simon was first introduced to the specialty electronics industry by his father at age 11. It was during a working summer vacation he learned to pull wire, work with hand tools and maneuver around a jobsite. Little did he know this little trip would lay the foundation for what would become a lifelong labor of love.

During his career, Jeff has had the opportunity to be mentored by some of the industry’s top subject matter experts while he held various technical, design, sales, and administrative positions. Some of his more notable accomplishments include:

• Being recognized by the Virginia Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (VBFAA) as a level one technician at age 16
• VBFAA Level 2 Technician by age 18
• Past Vice President of the Electronic Security Association of VA (ESA-VA)
• 2015 ESA-VA Member of the Year

Performed successful Installations in several states including VA, NC, FL, WV.

It is Jeff’s well-rounded experience and customer centric approach that helps separate Built In Systems from other low voltage providers. Together with his team of professionals you can expect good value, quality installation, and easy operation… every time…. period.

Since first joining the team in 2015, Samantha has lead the charge to stream line operations at Built In Systems. She is blessed with exceptional organizational skills and unmatched attention to detail. Weather you need to update your account, schedule service, order a part, or review a bill, she is standing by to handle your request and get it right the first time. Samantha is also a part-time college student pursuing a degree in accounting. We are very fortunate to have such a talented young lady holding down our front office.

Brian joined the team over 15 years ago after serving his country in the US Navy and working with Verizon as a telephone repair tech. His background in military service, construction, and electronics has allowed him to keep up with the daily demands of this ever-changing field. If you are a Built In Systems customer you have likely seen Brian in action. He is the “backbone” of our technical staff and a master of his trade. In his off-time he enjoys spending time with family, baking, DIY projects, Nascar, and Jimmy Buffett.

Josh is the newest addition to the tech team and comes with an impressive background in commercial surveillance. We are excited to work with this young tech and help expand his skill set. Josh was hand selected over several qualified applicants due to his positive attitude, strong technical foundation, and eagerness to grow his craft. Welcome aboard Josh!
